Will Arsenal land him? (Picture: AFP/Getty)

Arsenal are locked in talks with Paris Saint-Germain over the signing of Brazilian attacker Lucas Moura as they turn their focus away from Malcolm, reports claim.

The Gunners failed in a move to bring the 20-year-old Brazilian to the Emirates in January so have switched their attention to his compatriot.

Lucas is a long-term target for Manchester United, though the Red Devils cooled their interest in January after completing the signing of Alexis Sanchez, but it’s bitter local rivals Tottenham Hotspur that provide the biggest competition to landing him.

Arsene Wenger had initially requested that Lucas moves to north London on loan, but they are now negotiating a permanent deal following Spurs’ huge offer for the 25-year-old, according to the Express.

Mauricio Pochettino’s outfit are thought to have made a £38million bid and the pair are going head-to-head to sign him before the transfer window slams shut.
