Derby County and Hibernian fans have had their say on the arrival of Efe Ambrose at Pride Park.

The 30-year-old defender joined the club on a short-term deal until the end of the season on Friday afternoon.

Ambrose arrives at Pride Park having departed previous club Hibs last month. Rams manager Frank Lampard handed a trial to Ambrose earlier this month after failing to land a centre-back in the January transfer window.

A Nigerian international, Ambrose has made more than 200 appearances in Scottish football and has turned out in the Champions League for Celtic, where he spent four seasons before joining Hibs in 2016.

Rams fans and supporters of his previous clubs have had their say on the arrival of Ambrose , who can operate both at centre-back and right-back.

Olly Rudge : "Some player you have got there."

Fergy Lockhart : "What a player! Never injured, plays anywhere, heart-in-mouth kind of player but definitely a fans' favourite. Had one bad game for Hibs."

Derek Bale : "Far from convinced that this signing strengthens our squad, could have gone better going non-league in transfer window."

Efe Ambrose has joined Derby County until the end of the season

Freddie White : "You boys have a very good player there. He is comfortable on the ball and often strolls games. Yes he can be prone to the odd switch-off but not often."

Braddley : "One of the best centre-halves to play for Hibs. A fans' favourite, great on the ball and strolls it every week."

Stuart Ainslie : "Good luck and best wishes Efe. Always a warm welcome for you at Easter Road."

Jamie Probert : "Finally some back up."

Adam Gregory : "Welcome to the Premier League, we march."

Mike Marfurt : "I don't have a good feeling about this one."

Heath Taylor : "Decent signing."
