Chelsea legend Joe Cole has told Tottenham, Manchester United and Chelsea that they should make a move for Wolves forward Raul Jimenez.

The Mexico international has been in superb form for Nuno Espirito Santo's side, scoring 10 goals in the Premier League and contributing six assists to his side this season.

That has made him one of the most reliable forwards in the Premier League, having also played a key part last season as Wolves pushed into the Europa League.

As a result, Cole has questioned why the likes of United, Spurs and Chelsea are not eyeing a move for the forward during the January transfer window in their search for new additions.

"Wolves fans won't thank me for saying this but if I’m Chelsea, Tottenham or Manchester United, with a chequebook ready to go, he’s the first name," he told BT Sport.

"If you want someone to make an instant impact in your team, he knows the league, he knows the flow of English football. It's all well and good being part of a project but when United, Tottenham or Chelsea come for you, it will maybe turn your head.

"For me, he could quite easily play in any one of those teams, he's got so much ability. He's one of my favourite players to watch."

Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho is without Harry Kane until April, while Chelsea are also short of options in the final third beyond Tammy Abraham and Manchester United have their own issues with Marcus Rashford being sidelined.

Wolves currently sit seventh in the standings, level on points with Manchester United and Spurs ahead of their hosting of league leaders Liverpool this evening.
