Slaven Bilic has refused to rule out making more signings for West Ham this summer - despite already bringing in four new faces.

Pablo Zabaleta, Joe Hart, Marko Arnautovic and Javier Hernandez have joined the club since the end of last season as Bilic has strengthened his starting eleven considerably.

There is still a month of the transfer window remaining and the boss didn’t say no to making more moves in this window, but did admit they won’t happen until the closing stages of it.

Bilic, speaking in Germany at the Hammers traning camp, told football.london: “It’s all positive at the moment, it is pre-season and within reason, they all hope they will play and be starters next season.

“But then, of coruse, there are only eleven, maybe 14 players that will play so. Most definitely nearer the start of the season some players will realise they are not regulars so a few of them will not be happy and some will want to go, we need to be ready for that.

“As I said, it is my job to think about the team first and foremost and like in every club, you expect those things. We have to be ready with players that might not be happy at their clubs too.

“We have to be ready for all the situations, predict them. If and when they happen it is better that you’re ready.

“We are not going to be overbooked in the positions. I am happy with the squad, the players who are number two you don’t want them to be three or four. You need them in case you have many injuries but you not think like that.”

Any new signings will not likely be like the record-breaking deal for Arnautovic unless something incredible opens up in the transfer market, the boss added: “If something extraordinary hapens then yeah, why not?” he said.

“We done really well without spending crazy money. We got four players, one on a free, Joe is a loan and we spent good money on the others but also, Nordveit has gone, Randolph has gone, Enner Valencia gone, if Fletcher goes we have got some money from there.

“I presume if something extraordinary happens on the market we could be able to do it, if necessary.”
