Tottenham Hotspur fans have criticised Lucas Moura’s performance against Norwich City in midweek.

The Brazil international again drew a blank despite Spurs’ 2-1 win over the relegation-threatened Canaries.

Goals from Dele Alli and Son Heung-Min proved decisive in the absence of Harry Kane, even with Lucas picked to play through the middle.

And a number of fans were remarkably underwhelmed with his display.

Indeed, Lucas has not scored in the league since December when he was on target against Wolves in a 2-1 win at Molineux.

He has been played as a central striker in Spurs’ last three league outings, against Liverpool, Watford and Norwich, but a selection of fans believe he should be played in a different position; he has also been routinely deployed as a right winger throughout his Spurs career.

Lucas has drawn a few blanks this season and has scored just six goals in all competitions under the management of both Mauricio Pochettino and Jose Mourinho.

It remains to be seen if he can rediscover his scoring touch ahead of the weekend when Spurs face Southampton in the FA Cup.
