Tottenham's Kieran Trippier is close to completing a move to Atletico Madrid.
The full back, who 12 months ago scored England’s goal in their World Cup semi-final defeat, was given permission on Tuesday to travel to Spain to finalise a £20million switch.
The 28-year-old has been allowed to skip Spurs’ pre-season trip to Asia and have a medical with the La Liga side.

Tottenham are due to fly to Singapore on Wednesday.
Juventus and Napoli had expressed an interest in the Bury-born defender, who last summer attracted the attention of Real Madrid.
But it is Atletico who want the right back to replace Juanfran. Defender Danny Rose is also set to be left at home to sort out his future.
