Over 1 million people want to storm Area 51 and those people apparently have 10 times more chance of actually finding an alien than Arsenal do winning the Premier League.

Facebook event 'Storm Area 51, They Can't Stop All of Us' has over 1.2 million marked as going and more than one million more down as 'Interested' as people become desperate to spot some aliens.

Bookmaker Paddy Power think the odds of extraterrestrial life being proven this year is just 5/1, making it 10 times more likely than Arsenal winning the Premier League, with the Gunners' 50/1 to do so.

It's not only the Gunners who are less likely to top the table than find E.T phoning home though with Spurs 16/1, Chelsea 25/1 and Manchester United 30/1.

Only favourites and defending champions Manchester City, 8/13, and Champions League winners and last season's runners up by one point Liverpool, 23/10 are more fancied to win the league more than the whole alien situation.

It's no real surprise considering how much the two at the top dominated last season. City followed up their record breaking 100 points from the 2017/18 season with another 98 points and Liverpool were just a point behind.

Chelsea finished 25 points further back and can't even add to their team this summer because of a transfer ban and have lost Eden Hazard to Real Madrid.

Spurs were a further point back, despite being in the title race around February, Arsenal finished on 70 points and United finished back on 66 points.

Right now the idea of being successful in the league really is alien to Arsenal fans, who haven't seen their team lift the title since their 2004 Invincibles.

So far the transfer window hasn't been too good for them either and they've only signed 18-year-old striker Gabriel Martinelli.

Area 51 is a US government site in the Nevada desert and conspiracy theories suggest that there is alien life being kept in the facility.

For some reason people on social media suddenly decided that if they all got together the army wouldn't be able to stop them raiding and getting a glimpse of Paul, E.T, Roger, Kang, Kodos and Stitch.
