CASH-CRAZY Prem clubs went deadline-day doolally to complete a record £1.2BILLION summer spree.
And the spending continued right up until the transfer window shut at 11pm, with Spurs hijacking Everton’s £30m move for Newcastle midfielder Moussa Sissoko.
David Luiz kicked off proceedings, making a sensational return to Chelsea by Eurostar, while Jack Wilshere swapped Arsenal for a year at Bournemouth.
Luiz’s £32m switch from Paris Saint-Germain was the highest fee of the day as deals smashed the £1bn barrier for the first time.
Luiz, who moved to PSG for £50m two years ago, caught the Eurostar from Paris to St Pancras to seal an emotional return to Stamford Bridge.
Down on the south coast, England midfielder Wilshere was agreeing to a season with Bournemouth in a bid to get his injury-wracked career back on track.

And just before 11pm, French midfielder Sissoko, 27, became the final big signing of the window when he snubbed Everton to seal a £30m move to Tottenham.
Sunderland paid a club-record £13.6m to land midfielder Didier Ndong, 22, from French side Lorient.
And Burnley made Derby midfielder Jeff Hendrick, 24, their most expensive player at £10.5m.
