Juventus centre-back Gleison Bremer has emerged as one of the top targets for Manchester United this summer.
The Red Devils are expected to invest on a new central defender and Bremer has been linked with them regularly.
It is now reported that the club are weighing up an approach for the 27-year-old, who is open to a Premier League move.
Bremer currently has a release clause worth £50m in his contract, but that does not become active until June next year.
Despite this, the Bianconeri are open to negotiating a deal for the same price and United could look into staggered payments.
The Red Devils are currently at the risk of breaching the Profitability and Sustainability rules amid their poor spending.
They are likely to be more conservative with their investment this time around and may not pay over the odds for anyone.
United are currently in regular contact with Bremer's agents as they look to verbally agree personal terms before a summer deal.
