Bolton to sign Stephen Ireland on loan?

Bolton have been linked with a loan move for Aston Villa midfielder Stephen Ireland. The Irish midfielder found himself on the fringes of the first team at Villa Park under former boss Gerard Houllier, however Alex McLeish has also decided that Ireland is free to leave the club.

Ireland is currently speaking with his agent regarding a move away from the club, and Bolton are desperate to sign new midfielders after an injury to South Korean midfielder Lee in pre-season.



Bolton are ready to pay the full salary of Ireland for the season ahead; and if the player impresses the Trotters may make a permanent move for the attacking midfielder.
