Rumours of an Arsenal bid for Goetze

There were Internet rumours yesterday that Arsenal were interested in German starlet Mario Goetze. However, the Borussia Dortmund man is committed to the club for at least a further two years.

Goetze's agent Volker Streuth was quick to reject talk that his client would leave the club: "Mario will stay at Dortmund, for sure, the next two years. There is no chance of him going to another club this window.



"This is because he is so young and it is too early in his career for him. The club, the player and his family, we are all of one mind that it is better for him to stay there because he is happy at Dortmund."



Arsenal had earlier in the day been linked with a 25m GBP move for the Dortmund man.
