Neuer may cost Bayern more

15 October 2011 - 20:57

Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer, who moved to Bayern from Schalke in the summer transfer window, is expected to cost more than the original €18 million, with several add-ons coming into place.

  • Chelsea eyeing part-exchange deal to sign Osimhen
  • Chelsea & Arsenal handed blow in Bundesliga striker pursuit

  • A report by Bild states that the true cost of the transfer was around €22 million, with various add-ons dependent on how successful Bayern are in the coming years.

Bild claims that if Bayern win the Bundesliga twice in the next four years and reach the semi-finals of the Champions Leage on two occasions, the price would increase to €27 million.

However, in case Bayern win the Champions League multiple times before 2015, the fee could rise to as high as €33 million.

Neuer has been in exemplary form at his new club and has already set a new club record for the most amount of time on the field without conceding.
