Bassong frustrated at Tottenham

Bassong frustrated at Tottenham

17 October 2011 - 13:56

Tottenham defender Sebastien Bassong hopes a deal can be quickly agreed with Queens Park Rangers. The French centre back has been linked with a move away from White Hart Lane for several months.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Man Utd serious about signing Rafael Leao
  • Bassong is seemingly surplus to requirements at White Hart Lane, and the player wants to leave as quickly as possible.

Bassong very nearly completed a move to QPR during the summer transfer window, but Spurs cancelled the move at the last minute.

The defender revealed: "I thought they [Tottenham] would let me go, as they have a lot of cover in that position.

"I know they have to look after themselves, but I have to look after myself and my career. If I don't play, I want to move, be that QPR or somewhere else. I now just want to play."
