AVB happy with Chelsea progress

AVB happy with Chelsea progress

20 October 2011 - 15:55

Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas expressed his delight after his team romped to a 5-0 win over Racing Genk in the Champions League.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Former Chelsea boss to replace Erik ten Hag at Man Utd?

  • Chelsea now are top of the league in their Champions League group, and look on course for advancing to the next round.

"Fernando found goalscoring positions pretty well", commented Villas-Boas, "but we like to promote a collective performance rather than individual objectives and we are pretty satisfied with how the team played."

The Portuguese also stressed he is more than happy with the firepower he can call upon at Stamford Bridge.

"We are able to choose from the best.

"The choice fell to Fernando today and he responded well, but everyone who we have used as a striker has been performing fantastically well so we are very happy in that sense."
