Liverpool readying Rodallega offer

Liverpool readying Rodallega offer

22 October 2011 - 07:09

Liverpool are reportedly amongst three Premier League clubs that are considering a move for unhappy Wigan forward Hugo Rodallega. The Colombian striker's current deal at the DW Stadium expires this summer.

  • Arsenal to swap Gabriel Jesus for Inter Milan star?
  • Arsenal leading race to sign Belgian midfielder

  • That would mean Rodallega is free to discuss a Bosman free transfer move to another club shortly.

The Colombian striker had been locked in talks with Wigan for over 9 months, but Roberto Martinez has decided to halt discussions as the club need his best effort to fire them out of the relegation zone.

eyefootball understands that Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish remains a huge fan of Rodallega, and could turn to the Colombian striker in January.

Martinez admitted that discussions still continue with Rodallega: "We've got a very good relationship with his agent, who is in Colombia, so it's sometimes difficult to have continuity in our talks. But it's important that we focus on getting a positive result on the pitch and then all of the individual results will be resolved."
