Blackburn Rovers scouts have been watching Austrian international striker Martin Harnik in action for German club VfB Stuttgart.
According to a report from Germany, Blackburn scouts including assistant chief scout Kevin Cruickshank, had watched a recent Bundesliga game where they were very impressed with the performance of the German born Austria international.
Harnik recently scored against his country of birth, Germany, in a 6-2 defeat.
Harnik is a versatile player, and comfortable playing on the winger or up front on his own.
VfB Stuttgart would consider selling Harnik for around 5m GBP.
