Schwarzer not haunted by Arsenal snub

Schwarzer not haunted by Arsenal snub

25 November 2011 - 12:23

Fulham goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer has no regrets over his failed switch to Arsenal last year. The Aussie keeper almost joined the Gunners as part of a 1.5m GBP deal last year.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
  • However, Schwarzer's move failed at the last minute due to Fulham calling off a move, and the Gunners decided not to pursue a new goalkeeper.

Schwarzer holds no regrets over the failed move.

"You can never harbour any regrets. What was done was done and you move on," said Schwarzer.

"The minute I signed a new deal at Fulham the whole situation was dealt with, otherwise I wouldn’t have re-signed. I’m more than happy where I am and I’ve said from the day I arrived at Fulham that I love playing here. It’s been a great time in my career."
