Maxi Lopez to AC Milan deal still on

Maxi Lopez to AC Milan deal still on

03 December 2011 - 08:50

Catania chief executive Pietro Lo Monaco admits that discussions have taken place with AC Milan regarding the transfer of Maxi Lopez, but as yet no deal has been agreed.

  • Arsenal to swap Gabriel Jesus for Inter Milan star?
  • Arsenal leading race to sign Belgian midfielder

  • Maxi Lopez has been in stunning form for Catania this season, and will soon agree a move away from the club in search of a new challenge.

Lopez has finally fulfilled his potential that Barcelona - who signed him several years ago - spotted in him as a youngster.

Pietro Lo Monaco said: “We know nothing, there are always the same talks. Catania’s position is clear and everyone knows what it is.

“We speak about a lot of things, also about Maxi Lopez, yes. Meetings with Milan? I do not know, nothing is planned.

“Would I recommend Galliani to buy Maxi? Giving advice to Galliani is the last thing I can do, as he is the most successful CEO in Italy. I can only say that Maxi is an important player, young and is a good prospect."
