Bolton plan move for Yoan Gouffran

08 December 2011 - 06:31

Bolton are planning a January transfer move for Bordeaux winger Yoan Gouffran. The 25-year-old winger has been with the French side since 2008, and the Trotters are ready to make an offer of 5m GBP for the player.

  • Arsenal defender misses training ahead of Man Utd game

  • The troubled Bolton side are scouring Europe for more creative talent to help in their survival efforts for the second half of the Premier League season, and have reportedly decided that Frenchman Gouffran is a suitable player.

The injury to South Korean Lee Chung-Young in pre-season has seriously dented Bolton's survival hopes, and leaves the side lacking a creative influence in midfield.

Gouffran can also be deployed in a forward role.

Bolton manager Owen Coyle could make his first offer for Gouffran in the next couple of weeks.
