Sunderland have admitted that a move for Asamoah Gyan will be impossible. The striker had been linked with a return to the Stadium of Light, as Martin O'Neill the new coach hoped to end Gyan's Al-Ain loan spell.
However, Gyan will be forced to see out the remainder of his loan in the United Arab Emirates due to official rules.<br />
The Ghanaian striker had been linked with a move to Sunderland as the Black Cats currently face a struggle in front of goal, with Nicklas Bendtner struggling for goals in recent months.
