Schwarzer injury leaves keeper facing month out

Fulham goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer is expected to be out of action for over a month after the shot stopper sustained a neck injury against Swansea last weekend.

The Cottagers' keeper will be missing for up to six weeks and missed Fulham's surprise 2-2 draw with Odense last night, that saw his club crash out of the Europa League.<br />

"During the match against Swansea on Saturday 10 December, goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer&nbsp;injured his neck," read a statement on the Fulham official homepage.<br />

"Following an assessment by a specialist consultant on Tuesday evening, the Club can confirm that he has sustained a compression injury to his thoracic spine and that he will be unavailable for four to six weeks, and is expected to return to play towards the end of January."
