Sunderland manager Martin O'Neill has been busy preparing his transfer wishlist, and Aston Villa defender James Collins appears to be a name at the very top.
According to reports, the Black Cats have made an enquiry for the centre back and Villa have quoted an astonishing 7m GBP asking price to release the defender from his contract.<br />
Collins currently has a year and a half left on his current contract, and has been keen to enter negotations on a fresh package at Villa Park. The Welsh 28-year-old has reportedly admitted to representatives that he would be willing to listen to other offers.
