The Dutch Eredivisie side find themselves in the basement of the league and have signed Moussa Kalisse and Bart Schenkeveld in order to rescue the sinking club.
The 20-year old Schenkeveld comes from Feyenoord on loan. He was sidelined after a ligament injury and is getting back to full fitness. The out-of-contract Moussa Kalisse joins on a free transfer.
The 28-year signed a contract with Excelsior that will keep him in the club until 2014.
Excelsior have just eight points from the 17 league encounters so far.
