Chelsea are closing in on the signing of Nigerian defender Kenneth Oneruo from Standard Liege. The 18 year old will be loaned out to ADO Den Haag straight away.
According to several reports, Chelsea are set to pay around 1.5m GBP to Belgian side Standard Liege for the player, and then loan him to the Dutch side. This has been confirmed by Den Haag's manager Maurice Steijn: <span>"I hope all the paperwork is in place soon so he can join our squad."</span><br />
<span>Andre Villas-Boas, Chelsea's manager, has been scouring Europe for the best young talent and has been closely monitoring Standard Liege, a side famed for producing some fine young players in recent years.</span>
