Andrew Johnson can leave Fulham for right price

Andrew Johnson can leave Fulham for right price

07 January 2012 - 17:42

Fulham manager Martin Jol has admitted that striker Andrew Johnson can leave the club in the January transfer window, but only if the Cottagers receive a suitable offer for the former England international.

  • Chelsea expected to sell striker after loan deal
  • Arsenal defender misses training ahead of Man Utd game

  • Johnson's contract at Craven Cottage will expire in the summer, and so there seems to be plenty of talk that the forward will look to leave in January instead.

"What's the point for us - for Fulham, for my club - to sell a player for that sort of money?" said Jol.

"To get somebody will cost a lot more money so for me there is no problem.

"He is still under contract so we have to wait and see.

"If somebody wants him they have to pay a good transfer fee so we can buy another good player.

"It would not be best for us to sell him to whatever club for a lower fee.

"Of course he will stay here and if he is not signing he can leave at the end of the season."
