Liverpool midfielder Jonjo Shelvey wants to stay at Anfield for the rest of the season. The player spent time on loan at Blackpool earlier in the season, and has no plans for a return.
Shelvey said: "I want to stay here and fight for my place first and foremost but if I'm nowhere near it then maybe I'll look to go down that road. But at this moment I want to fight for my place at Liverpool Football Club."
The midfielder scored his first goal for the Reds in midweek in the 5-1 thrashing of Oldham Athletic.
