11 January 2012 - 09:11

Representatives of hot property Demba Ba have revealed that Manchester United are interested in Newcastle striker Demba Ba. The Senegalese striker has a 5m GBP minimum release fee clause in his contract.

 • Chelsea urged to sign Man City star on free transfer
 • Chelsea squad want Xabi Alonso as manager
 • United are the latest club to have been linked with a move for the Newcastle man, and joined Paris St. Germain and Tottenham as the third major club to express an interest.
Demba Ba's representative said: "A lot of clubs are calling for Demba. Obviously he is doing very well at Newcastle, he's not injured and a lot of clubs are showing interest, but there is nothing concrete at this moment.
"It is true Manchester United, it's true, but nothing concrete. No manager called me and said, 'Armand, can we sit down' and everybody is asking how much his release clause is, but nothing concrete."
