Blackburn defiant over Samba transfer request

Blackburn defiant over Samba transfer request

23 January 2012 - 06:16

Blackburn manager Steve Kean insists that star centre back Christopher Samba will not be leaving this month, despite talk of a mega money move to Premier League rivals Queens Park Rangers for 7 million.

 • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
 • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
 • Samba has been linked with a move away from Ewood Park for over two years, as the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool both maintain an interest in the former Hertha Berlin player.
"We're not selling him, it's as simple as that," said Kean.
"I don't know how he's going to react. Hopefully, in the way that he's reacted before – there's been interest before in previous windows, he's not left the club and he's been excellent."
