Wigan set sights on John Verhoek

Wigan manager Roberto Martinez has made an offer for Rennes striker John Verhoek. The Latics have offered 850,000 GBP for the striker, who is currently on loan with Dutch side Den Haag.

  • The 6 foot 2 forward played for Den Bosch in 2010, where he made a huge impression on many coaches in the Eredivisie after scoring 10 goals in 17 games. After his Den Bosch spell, he quickly made a move to France and was loaned out just six months later back to his home country.<br />

    The 22-year-old is reportedly available for a permanent transfer away from Rennes.
