Newcastle striker Demba Ba staying put

29 January 2012 - 09:01

After Senegal slumped to an African Cup of Nations exit last week, Newcastle forward Demba Ba declared that he remains focused on the job in hand at the Sports Direct Arena. When asked about his future, the striker insisted that he will be staying put until the end of the season.

  • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
  • Ba reportedly has a minimum fee release clause in his contract, believed to be for as little as 3.75 million GBP. However, Ba will wait until the end of the season before deciding his long term future.<br />

"The position is still the same - it hasn't changed," Ba said. "I'm just going back there to play the rest of the season. Hopefully as well as I played before."
