Versatile Romanian international Banel Nicolita could soon be heading to the Premier League, after the player's agent admitted that England is the place where the 27-year-old most wants to play. Nicolita currently plays for St Etienne, but the likes of Wigan and Fulham have both expressed some interest.
Nicolita is comfortable playing at right back or on either wing, and that versatility has made him a mainstay of St. Etienne's Ligue 1 campaign this year. Since arriving in France from Staeua Bucharest at the end of last season, Nicolita's first team opportunities have been somewhat limited.
"Banel feels great, he has quickly improved", said agent Traian Gherghisan.
"He is appreciated by everyone, the supporters and the coaching staff. He was voted the player of November and that’s no small thing for a newcomer.
"This summer we’re going to speak very seriously with Saint-Etienne. His place is in England.
"This is the model of French football, the good players go to England. To the Premier League."
