Arsenal to sign Thomas Eisfeld

Arsenal will today complete the signing of Borussia Dortmund playmaker Thomas Eisfeld. The midfielder's contract at the Westfalenstadion expires at the end of the year, and the German has decided not to extend his spell with BVB.

Arsenal will pay around 400,000 GBP compensation for the player, who sustained a serious injury in 2009. The Gunners are having thorough medical examinations on Eisfeld before completing a deal for the player.<br />

Eisfeld has been playing for the under-19's this year, and has not yet forced his way into the first team.
