Bayern Munich yesterday completed the signing of Swiss international winger Xherdan Shaqiri, for a reported 10 million Euros. The forward has joined the German side and put pen to paper on a five year contract in Bavaria.
Shaqiri is very highly rated across Europe, and even Premier League champions Manchester United were linked with a move for the Basel player after he starred during the Swiss side's shock defeat of the Red Devils in the Champions League.<br />
Bayern Munich's director of football Christian Nerlinger said of the Shaqiri signing: "We are delighted that we have been able to sign Xherdan Shaqiri, one of the most coveted young talents in European football."
