Bayern sign Swiss starlet Xherdan Shaqiri

Bayern Munich yesterday completed the signing of Swiss international winger Xherdan Shaqiri, for a reported 10 million Euros. The forward has joined the German side and put pen to paper on a five year contract in Bavaria.

  • Shaqiri is very highly rated across Europe, and even Premier League champions Manchester United were linked with a move for the Basel player after he starred during the Swiss side's shock defeat of the Red Devils in the Champions League.



    Bayern Munich's director of football Christian Nerlinger said of the Shaqiri signing: "We are delighted that we have been able to sign Xherdan Shaqiri, one of the most coveted young talents in European football."
