Ezequiel Lavezzi rules out Napoli exit

Ezequiel Lavezzi rules out Napoli exit

16 February 2012 - 05:47

Argentinian striker Ezequiel Lavezzi has denied reports that he is looking to quit Napoli in the summer. Juventus, Manchester City and Paris St Germain are all believed to be in the running for the striker's coveted signature.

  • Chelsea join Liverpool & Man Utd in race to sign 26yo
  • Barcelona identify Arsenal midfielder as key transfer target

  • However, it seems that Lavezzi is happy to sit tight in Naples, and help his club's campaign in the Champions League and Serie A.

Lavezzi is very highly rated across Europe, with Manchester City believed to be in pole position to secure his signature. Lavezzi could be signed by the Citizens as a replacement for Carlos Tevez.

“My future? I believe that I will be at Napoli next season," said Lavezzi.

“I’m happy here, I have a long contract and I am calm. I have never had contact with Juventus and, from what I know, there have not been any offers from other clubs.”
