Liverpool star Lucas eyes return to action

Liverpool midfielder Lucas Leiva revealed that his recovery from a serious knee injury is back on track. The Brazilian defensive midfielder has been missing from action since hurting his knee against Chelsea in November.

  • Kenny Dalglish has no plans to rush the midfielder back to action, and the player is now targeting a first team return next season.<br />

    Liverpool are so far struggling this year in the Premier League, and manager Kenny Dalglish is under huge pressure to turn around the Reds' staggering form.<br />

    "My rehab is going well and hopefully I will be fit for next season," he wrote on his Twitter page.  "It was a bad injury so I need to recover properly to be strong again."
