Liverpool chasing Hector Herrera

15 April 2012 - 07:48

Liverpool scouts have been spotted at three games of Mexican side Pachuca this year, and have been watching Mexican international winger Hector Herrera in action as they prepare a summer transfer bid.

  • Chelsea defender back in training ahead of Man Utd game
  • Chelsea keen on re-signing former graduate
  • The talented winger has already captured the attentions of some of Europe's biggest sides, but it appears that Liverpool are in the driving seat to secure his coveted signature, and could sign the player in May.<br />

The Mexican international starlet has been contacted by Liverpool scouts, as confirmed by the player himself: "I watch games on TV and it will be fabulous to play against Chicharito. <br />

'I was only introduced to him (Liverpool scout), he didn't tell me anything specific."<br />

Meanwhile a Pachuca club director confirmed that there is some interest in the player: "There's no formal offer yet, only interest, no verbal agreement or pre-contract. Liverpool's people came to Mexico on a general scouting trip, there's a declared interest in Herrera."
