Sunderland boss O'Neill denies quit talk

27 November 2012 - 13:28

Sunderland manager Martin O'Neill has laughed off rumours that he offered to quit the Stadium of Light after last weekend's humiliating defeat at the hands of West Brom. The Baggies beat the Black Cats 4-2.

  • Mikel Arteta insists 27yo star won't be leaving Arsenal
  • Omari Hutchinson wants to continue at Ipswich Town

  • O'Neill has now seen his side lose three out of their last four games in the league, and a worrying dip of form saw a spark of rumours on Twitter.

Many suggested that O'Neill had actually offered to resign, but O'Neill denied this and responded: "Anyone can go on Twitter and say what they like. It's the name of the game, I accept this."
