Norwich open talks to sign Skjelbred

11 January 2013 - 05:37

Norwich City have opened talks to sign Norway international midfielder Par Ciljan Skjelbred on loan. The playmaker has struggled to adapt in the Bundesliga with Hamburg, and has been told he is free to quit the club.

  • Chelsea join Liverpool & Man Utd in race to sign 26yo
  • Barcelona identify Arsenal midfielder as key transfer target

  • Since joining the German side, Skjelbred has struggled to force his way into the first tean and has grown increasingly frustrated at a lack of first team opportunity.

More importantly, Frank Arnesen, the man responsible for bringing him to Germany; has told the player that he is free to find a new club.

Many high level directors at HSV have described the signing of Skjelbred as a "mistake", and the club are ready to accept a cut price offer for the player.
