Tottenham rule out Leandro Damiao move

11 January 2013 - 05:44

Tottenham's manager Andre Villas-Boas has all but ended their pursuit of Brazilian forward star Leandro Damiao. The Internacional man has been linked with a move to White Hart Lane for over two years.

  • Chelsea expected to sell striker after loan deal
  • Arsenal defender misses training ahead of Man Utd game

  • The Brazilian striker has been linked with a host of European sides, but Spurs have always been in first place to sign the brilliant forward.

"Leandro is a player we've always appreciated, one this club appreciated before I arrived, but it's extremely difficult that he's going to join Tottenham," the Portuguese manager told a press conference.

"He's a player that is highly rated in the market, and it's unlikely that he will play for Tottenham."
