Paolo di Canio is ready to raid his former club Lazio and sign 26-year-old centre back Mobido Diakite. The 6 foot 4 Frenchman is available for a small fee at the end of the season.

Diakite has appeared over 100 times for the Italian side since joining from Pescara back in 2006.



Paolo di Canio is desperate to bring in new defenders in time for next season, and Valentin Roberge is already believed to have agreed terms with the Black Cats.
