Two bids accepted from Europe for Neymar

25 May 2013 - 07:29

Two bids have reportedly been accepted by Santos for Brazilian star Neymar. Barcelona are assumed to be one of them, whilst Manchester United are also surprise candidates for his coveted signature.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Arsenal handed huge boost ahead of Bournemouth clash

  • The news comes just hours after Neymar's father told the press that his son might stay put at Santos, despite Barcelona's persistent interest.

"I will not allow Neymar to be auctioned. The speculation must stop," said Neymar's father.

Santos have now accepted two separate offers for the player, and the forward could be set to leave.

"Santos FC announces that it has received two proposals for the athlete Neymar da Silva Santos Junior," said a Santos statement.

"Given the offers and conditions of the player's contract, the management committee of the club decided to transfer the player.

"Neymar Jr and his father are expected in Belmiro to choose which proposal the athlete will accept."
