06 June 2013 - 05:29

Manchester City have agreed a fee with Shakhtar Donetsk for the signing of midfielder Fernandinho. The 28-year-old, capped by his country 5 times, has seen his club agree a fee with City of around £24 million.

  • Chelsea suffer double injury blow ahead of Villa trip
  • Gabriel Magalhaes to sign new Arsenal deal

  • Fernandinho has played in the Ukraine for over eight seasons and has been a long term target of the Citizens. The player has taken part in over 180 league games for the club, scoring 32 goals.

The Brazilian will be City's second major signing of the summer, after also agreeing a fee with Sevilla for the signing of Spain international Jesus Navas.
