Sunderland eye move for Abel Hernandez

14 June 2013 - 06:07

Sunderland are set to make a bid for Palermo's highly rated striker Abel Hernandez. The 22-year-old is currently set to be sold by the Sicilian side as they look to balance the books for the new seasons after being relegated to Serie B.

  • Chelsea ready to sell four home-grown players
  • Predicted Chelsea line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Aston Villa, Palmer starts

  • Paolo Di Canio faces a challenge in the transfer market though, as Serie A sides Parma and Napoli are also reportedly considering a move for the Uruguayan striker.

There has been talk of a mega money offer coming from the Black Cats for Hernandez's signature, believed to be in the region of about 14 million Euros. Sunderland have been guaranteed a transfer budget of 20 million Euros to spend on players this transfer window.
