Arsenal forward Gervinho has plenty of transfer options

23 June 2013 - 07:26

Ivory Coast and Arsenal attacker Gervinho, who has been linked with a move away from the Emirates this summer, has told reporters that should he decide to quit his current club there will be no shortage of interest in his services.

  • Arsenal to swap Gabriel Jesus for Inter Milan star?
  • Arsenal leading race to sign Belgian midfielder

  • The former Lille man has struggled to adapt to the rigours of the Premier League since arriving at Arsenal two years ago, whilst Gunners fans have grown increasingly frustrated with his sub-par performances since his arrival.

The 26-year-old is now being linked with a return to France, where he spent four successful years with Le Mans and Lille.

Marseille and Lyon are two teams that have been strongly linked with a move for the player who played in only 18 Premier League games last year.

Gervinho told reporters in France that there is some interest from Marsille: "Marseille is one of the biggest French clubs. On top of that, I have very good relationships with certain people there. At this point, I couldn’t say yes or no, but it’s always flattering for a player to know that there are a number of clubs interested in signing him."
