Nicolas Gaitan's agent has effectively ruled out the possibility of Benfica's midfield dynamo leaving the club this summer. Manchester United have been strongly linked with a move for Gaitan for over two years.

However, Gaitan's agent Jose Ibibarren told reporters that he would be staying at Benfica for the forseeable future: "At the time no one has submitted official offers for the player. Gaitan will keep playing for Benfica, he's happy here."
