Stoke City are hopeful that they can agree a deal to sign Dutch international defender Erik Pieters. The PSV Eindhoven left back has played 17 games for his country and continues to be a consistent performer for both club and country.
The 24-year-old has been monitored by Newcastle for over two years, but a deal has so far failed to complete. Stoke City are now the latest team to express an interest in the Dutchman.<br />
