Sunderland make offer for Charis Mavrias

03 July 2013 - 10:10

The Black Cats have reportedly made an offer for Panathinaikos winger Charis Mavrias. The 19-year-old winger has forced his way into Greece's international side in recent months and is very highly rated in his homeland.

  • Mavrias - otherwise known as Charalampos Mavrias - played in 26 Super League games last year for PAO and back in 2011 he became the youngest ever goalscorer in Panathinaikos' history.

Sunderland have supposedly made an offer of £1.5million, but that is some way short of the £5.5million that his club currently value the winger at.
