Arsenal eye Morocco international Abdel Barrada

06 July 2013 - 06:55

Arsenal's extensive scouting network have prepared a dossier on Morocco international midfielder Abdelaziz Barrada, a 6 foot 1 midfielder who is currently playing for Spanish side Getafe.

  • Predicted Chelsea line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Aston Villa, Palmer starts
  • Chelsea ready to sell four home-grown players

  • The Gunners have sent trusted scout Steve Rowley to Spain over three times to watch the 24-year-old in action. For Getafe, Barrada has been in excellent form in recent months as he played over 60 games for the first team since his move from Paris St Germain back in 2010.

A powerful box to box midfielder, Getafe have worked tirelessly over the last six months to keep the interest of the likes of Atletico Madrid and Valencia away. Both teams showed some interest in Barrada back in 2012. However, the interest of Arsenal will be very difficult for the 24-year-old to refuse.

Barrada, who played 15 times for his national team, scored two weeks ago for the national team in World Cup qualifying against Gambia and put in an equally impressive performance. Arsenal are preparing an 8 million Euro offer for the French born player.
