Illarramendi To Real Madrid Not A Done Deal

09 July 2013 - 14:51

Real Sociedad president Jokin Aperribay insists that there has been no agreement with Real Madrid regarding the summer move of Asier Illarramendi.

  • Chelsea expected to sell striker after loan deal
  • Arsenal defender misses training ahead of Man Utd game

  •  Illarramendi has been very strongly linked with the Spanish club recently but the president reveals that the clubs have not struck a deal and the 23-year-old continues to be a Real Sociedad player. Real Madrid are keen to land the midfielder but Aperribay has no intentions of letting him go for anything less than €30 million.

"As of today, Illarramendi continues to be a Real Sociedad player. We are counting on him for this season"

"If Madrid meet his buy-out clause then it's up to them and the player to agree terms.

"I must say that Real Madrid have been behaving very well during negotiations so far”, he said to the reporters.

Illarramendi has a contract with his present club that expires in June 2018. He has made 54 appearances for the Basque outfit, since being promoted to the senior team in 2010.
