West Ham monitoring Vincent Enyeama

11 July 2013 - 17:22

West Ham are considering a move for Lille and Nigeria goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama. The shot stopper, who has played well over 80 times for his country, has yet to play for the French side since his move back in 2011.

  • Arsenal handed injury boost on defender ahead of Bournemouth clash
  • Chelsea planning shock move for Man City winger?

  • Despite talk of Enyeama - who won the African Cup of Nations this year - being an important member of the first team at Lille for the year ahead, the French side are ready to sell the player now to generate funds.

Last season, Enyeama had a successful spell on loan at Maccabi Tel Aviv.

Jussi Jaaskelainen, the current Hammers number 1, is reportedly considering retirement at the end of the year and Enyeama is hoping to push the Finn for the number 1 jersey at Upton Park.
